Need help with my kitchen/family
Comments (11)Thank you kooky_karen. Now I am thinking about putting together your idea of removing angled bench, putting L one after building a new wall as jbantick idea. Angled wall is internal and separates lounge room from family. I forgot about vinyls. Thank you for this reminder. We are older couple and it will make a lot easier to keep it clean. I will try to find ( any suggestions here?) best and beautiful vinyl with warm wood feel and look....See MoreNeed help for my kitchen Island - off-set sink?
Comments (6)Hi there, Have you ever heard about the 'work triangle' concept when designing kitchens? https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-set-up-a-kitchen-work-triangle-stsetivw-vs~1042314 It is essentially about connecting the three main elements of the kitchen: the fridge, the cooker and the sink. As a rule, to achieve an efficient layout the triangle formed by lines linking these three elements should total 3.6 -6.6m in my experience. Try to avoid circulation through the triangle - particularly between sink and cooker which should not be more than 1.8m apart. I hope this helps!...See MoreHelp with my kitchen please.
Comments (29)That is a dream bench top. exactly what I had and what I would do again. Once your kitchen is finished it is going to look great. Your original vision and gut feeling for what you wanted was right. You just need to see the bigger picture when it's in the middle of the build. The overhand is perfect. Too small and there would be nowhere to put your knees. Cant wait to see the finished room. Also dont fret. Once decorated with pots pans, coffee machine etc.. you'll be in total love with it....See MoreHelp me with my final decisions for kitchen reno
Comments (24)Gee, they are both lovely and completely different to one another. The Georgian Bluffs contains veining which seems to impart more character, while the Ocean Foam appears cleaner, crisper and plainer. It boils down to a matter of taste and which complements the overall look and design of your kitchen. IF you want your benchtop material to be the main attraction/feature in the kitchen, my opinion is the GB would achieve this better Have you visited a kitchen display centre or a Caesarstone display centre? Seeing each up close and in an actual kitchen would be beneficial. A large slab will give you a better idea than a small sample piece....See Moremldesign0401
