Comments (9)disappointing that your landlord is not more responsible and more difficult if you're at work and your partner is not well: if there's no legal agreement about who owns what and you've been told to "deal with it" disposing of anything that you can't use or is not obviously valuable...it's not safe to raise the washing machine without a specialised washing machine stand and it will be more comfortable left on the floor to use the top of the machine as work space... try the simplest cheapest options and keep only the essentials on a shallow lower shelf and hopefully the top shelf may have room for some of the culled boxes from the bedroom...check out the various shelf options in the on line Bunnings etc catalogues ..unfortunately the paint can't go in the bin so make sure the lid is secure and with the help of some hefty friends carefully enclose the paint can in plastic garbage bags (in case of spills), load it in the boot of the car (supported by something to keep it upright) and take it to the nearest recycling garbage tip...hopefully the worst that will happen is the owner will need it replaced if/when she wants to do more painting.. if you need an oven it could be worth finding out the cost of a repair but it could also be no more costly to consider buying your own convection microwave and use the old cleaned out unworking oven for storage of some of the stuff out of those boxes...for the rotting kitchen bench there's a product called "builders bog" that can fill in all sorts of horrible problems and then (carefully covering all the other surfaces use a cheap can of (red?) spray paint to at least make the bench look a bit better and, one box at a time you can take control of the situation, best of luck to you...See MoreHELP! Comments (40)Those photos are lovely Jeddah and shows just how much work you have already done. The laundry isn't the problem as it will work else where within the house, it's the WC with easy pool access, my thoughts for this would be to built a separate mini pool house (WC, shower change room) at ground level in the area that the rubbish bins are now in, ie: between the house and pool and boundary limit. having a plumber will make this oh so achievable . Can you take further pictures from the side of the house looking at and away from the pool visually showing the space. Or wild card adding the "Mini Pool House" at the other end of the pool, as after leaving this space towels can be hung on the clothes line, just a thought. The Mudroom laundry (old study) I think is a good idea even without changing the door, your cabinetry could be moved as you suggested, across into the new study office, a WC within this space would also be a plus for any client visits, keeping the family bathroom private, keep repeating , I have a plumber in the house!!...See MoreBathroom/laundry layout
Comments (16)Hi Siriuskey. Bifolds work with your layout, small laundry won’t work with sliding doors unless you can take it the whole length of room. It was touch and go fitting mine in with existing window and door. Can’t tell you how many times I measured depth of laundry. We had to pull of trim from side of window and trim window ledge back flush to side of new timber door frame. So glad I persisted and could get full height doors. Bifolds would not have worked at all for me with door and window and extra width. It wasn’t the only thing I shoehorned in. You may notice the toilet isn’t set back in line with shower, that was so I could squeeze in a dog legged entry into the old laundry of a slightly extended hall, laundry has become my study. Previously laundry had external access and access through the bathroom....See MoreMaster Bedroom, Ensuite and Laundry Layout
Comments (7)there are some inconsistencies with dimensions that need to be checked to be certain of sizes but, instead of having to sacrifice something else to find space for a new laundry and also having to rearrange the old laundry to create an ens, my suggestion includes a new ens, master bedroom with biw and keeps the existing laundry and toilet with some modest changes to the kitchen ..you will need a window in the old external laundry door and the ens could be installed without a full width wall and door to avoid having to change the old bedroom window but an enclosed shower stall and efficient exhaust fan will avoid too much steam in the bedroom and free standing flat pac storage could be used to replace the lost hall storage...See MoreNeetie
