Comments (91)A few from horchow. If these are not in your price range, we can look for something that looks similar in a lower price point. http://www.horchow.com/Rowley-Chair-Chairs-Ottomans/cprod72870045_cat5720731_cat16060742_/p.prod?isEditorial=false&index=58&seoDesigner=&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat16060742cat5720731 http://www.horchow.com/Massoud-Leanna-Wing-Chair-Chairs-Ottomans/cprod100830032_cat5720731_cat16060742_/p.prod?isEditorial=false&index=21&cmCat=cat000000cat000001cat16060742cat5720731 http://www.horchow.com/Massoud-Cartata-Wing-Chair/cprod91930035_cat5720731__/p.prod?eVar4=rvi&index=40&cmCat=rvi...See MoreNeed Ideas for 'Street Appeal'...
Comments (24)Here are some of my thoughts on your front garden ... 1. Create a better "welcome walkway to your front steps . remove the hedge currently there ... mass plant an architectural wow-factor plant and uplight so peoplre know where the front entry is during the nightime. 2. "Correct" the sloping lawn, add a paved area for extra parking. 3. Create a garden bed along neighbours boundary and plant up with a hedging plant for privacy. 4. Create a garden bed in front of the wall using plants that will not block out the view from the windows. 5. For the remaining garden bed toward the kerbside, xeriscape with drought loving plants, choose plants that will not be taller than 5 feet (1.5mtrs) 6. All the garden beds with gravel, crushed river pebbles, or small river stones to compliment existing driveway. No need to change colours of house! Now there'll be no lawn to mow - but a valuable extra parking space - a designated "welcome" pathway to guide visitors to your front door - and a gorgeous "garden" to view from the front windows....See MoreBudget Kitchen makeover
Comments (18)Firstly, congratulations on a great job. Your Kitchen looks fantastic. Well done! Just a thought, as we have been through the same scenario for a client's window treatment in their new kitchen. We looked at conventional blinds also and the dilemma for them was, sun protection in the afternoon and privacy in the evening. Ask ourselves firstly, what is the primary reason for putting up a blind. We decided to actually get some pattern into the kitchen, to add some interest and something a bit different to the norm. They had a mid taupe/ grey subway splashback tile We used a complimentary soft grey/taupe coloured fabric with a classic pattern. This will be made into a roller with pelmet. Your budget is always a consideration, but maybe it can stretch to a custom made? If not, then you can always get a premade blind. Maybe even a synthetic rattan or weave that you can take down and wash. Good luck with your decision!!...See MoreBlinds : What's in fashion?
Comments (21)Hi Debbie, The wooden plantation shutters look great for your master bedroom, and offer a good level of privacy for the space. If you are interested in replacing the other blinds around your home, you might want to consider some DIY options which also provide privacy and style to the room. Our Venetians and Cellular Blinds are stocked at Bunnings around Australia, and Mitre10 also stock our Rollers Blinds all of which are easy to install. The variety of material options in these styles are good when considering bathrooms and kitchens, where the wood in plantation shutters might not wear as well.
