new custom built-ins. the caulk is repeatedly cracking and pulling away. can anybody explain this? contractor says "temp change" but the temperature inside my house is constant. should we insist it all be remove and re-caulked? thanks in advance!
What's is cabinet made of? temperature can cause it. also cheap Caulk. also if it wasn't built well the pieces can move and split Caulk I'm not saying it wasn't built well I'm just pointing out causes
Those look like pretty wide cracks to be filling with something other than a very flexible caulk. I wonder if what he really meant was that temperature changes caused the *cabinets* to shrink...
