My ideas book is for placement inspiration only. In the meantime, I think I may resolve the problem by making the decor striking enough to distract from the outside view. i have just painted the room so don't want to damage the ceiling installing a chandelier instead of the existing down lights. I have a number of mirrors in beautiful carved frames, perhaps one over the bed or one either side of the bed above the tallboys ..... lovely brass or wrought iron candle stick holders ... old gold textured ottoman at the base of the bed, matching fabric couch, toile covered chair and a striking rug half placed under the bed. Colours are in varied shades of rich burgundy which seems to fit with the Natural Ash. Leaving old mirrors with gold frames .... or a chalk paint effect ... how does all of this sound to you? Hi, I used Dulux Suede effect when it was first released. Used on 2 x feature walls in the my home. Never regretted it.

Depends a little bit on the style of your house , but my first reaction is the same as bigreader -- no , and almost certainly no , no , no , no , not 4 rooms in one house . Some of the schists look alright , the 80's style might suit an 80's or even 50's minimalist American house . There are some fairly cool 'wavy' panels that are available these days ; even some feature walls that look like timber ends sticking out of a wall ; wallpaper works in some places ; but one wall of brighter paint is the most obvious 'feature wall' . Faux Stone , or that ship-lap timber , or diagonal timber are about as exciting as yellowy beige or mission brown .
