I adore both Interia and Lo and Co Interiors for hardware. They aren't cheap but I wouldn't say they are super expensive. If you use some of their statement hardware, you could just do them on lower cabinetry and leave the upper cabinetry as push-to-touch and keep it simple and a bit cheaper.

For any coating to adhere properly to the floor it will need to be sanded back completely. Lime washing the floor is always an option, but it is more expensive. White floors will always show more dirt and will require more maintenance to look their best. The floors you have would look beautiful sanded and polished. Yes bigreader, Celina have a look at Orient House, they bring in loads of beautiful screens and it is a fabulous place to visit for ideas. The idea below is as it says, contact frosting; but I would work out a design and get a professional in to execute.
