Great colour choices! I agree to go with the grey rug, but you can use the yellow as a subtle highlight colour in the design. Here is a photo of our Clover rug in grey and cream , but you could easily make the cream a light yellow. I don't know about it , can you change it, you can have modern and different but I think your tv unit is mid century style and table is Well I don't know what style it is than you say you want tribal . As someone suggested earlier , stop shopping before you move in it might be all wrong and your taste and ideas might change by then. Trick in decorating is to be patient and only buy when you are absolutely sure that you can take it back. Ha ha.

I must be the OCD one -- Oak sounds nice , and looks nice , BUT the armchair is darker toned and a different style to the rest ; the coffee tables are the lightest ; the floating unit is in-between colour wise , the chevrons are nice but they don't relate to anything else in the room . By comparison , the couches , the sideboard ( that can't be seen in the latest pic ) and any 1 of the lighter toned items would work , or all three IF they were the same tone and style , would work as they are similar styles , and work together IMO . And a curve-ball -- the shutters in the same white as the walls means the shutters lose 90% of their effect . IF you had done the shutters in oak , and ALL the oak matched ( even if it was all stained darker it would be better , but similar styles / eras would be even better ) iot would look a lot better IMO . But I am weird , and I am OCD haha .
