Nerida Bawtree advised us and designed our two-storey penthouse apartment in Double Bay. She struck the perfect balance between truly listening and understanding what our design preferences were (minimalist, neutral palette, uncluttered, streamlined) while opening our minds and introducing us to warmer colours and textures that we would not have considered at all. The result was far better than we could have created. What’s more, we didn’t make the process easy for Nerida. We designed and completed the entire renovation while we were still living overseas! She is extremely resourceful, a very articulate communicator and so “on it”!

We met with a number of architects before engaging Nerida Bawtree's services. Nerida was recommended by a family member who is one of Sydney's most respected builders. Best decision we could have made! Her no nonsense approach, keen eye for detail and style and her commitment to ensuring we stuck to our budget was exactly what we needed. She listened to our needs, was flexible and patient with us first timers and provided sound advice and support from start to finish. She's extremely professional but as a women she's also naturally caring and nurturing and very connected to the job at hand and her clients. I couldn't recommend Nerida more highly. Nerida was the perfect architect for our project. We needed someone with an excellent design aesthetic, a sensitivity to the location that we were building, an environmental awareness and concern, along with a practical approach as we were building a family home. She more than met our brief, was endlessly patient, and delivered a beautiful and liveable end result. Nerida's drawings were meticulously detailed and provided a clear understanding of every inch of the build and a clear vision of where we were heading. We never had any doubt that it was just important to her as it was to us that the build was a positive experience and that we end up with our dream home.

Nerida from Bawtree Design is our architect on our 6 month house renovation.
