Duane and his crew did an amazing job transforming our back yard from a sloped mud pit to an oasis with multiple amazing seating and conversation areas. It's both an entertainer's delight and a place of complete serenity. My husband and I and our children love spending time outside now. As with any large scale project, there were a few hiccups along the way and Duane adjusted and everything worked out perfectly -- even with my perfectionist eye. The quality of the work was incredible and we are delighted. We paid for and expected the best -- and that's what we received.

We consulted with Duane about simplification and improvement of our back yard. From start to finish, it was truly a pleasure working with him. Duane really listened to what we wanted and came up with a beautiful design which included more hardscaping than landscaping, as we wanted to have less "garden work". As part of the hardscaping, Duane designed an elegant fountain, built in place, and he included a fire pit. We can hardly wait for the warmer weather to arrive, as the entire space is so inviting, functional and beautiful. We followed Duane's recommendation to consider getting lighting installed throughout our back yard and what a good recommendation that was! At night, the whole back yard becomes a magical space which we can even appreciate while in our house. Duane's design talent is complemented by great organizational and communication skills. He kept us closely informed about every aspect of the project and was often on site. He ensured our project was done right by using superb tradesmen and gardeners. No detail was overlooked, from carefully considered placement of the lighting to inclusion in the landscaping of some of our favourite plants from our previous garden. Duane worked with me to create a completely new landscape design for my new home; both hard and soft landscape. Duane produced a plan that met my needs perfectly - on the ocean, easy care, deer-proof and most importantly, beautiful. Some elements of the landscape changed mid-project due to changes in septic design, and Duane very quickly accommodated the changes. The design is casual and comfortable, leading to different parts of the yard for different purposes. It all works wonderfully. Most importantly, Duane was terrific to work with, very quickly grasped what I thought I wanted and delivered on time always.

I would highly recommend Duane for any landscape design project. From our initial consultation I found him to be very professional, artistic and insightful. He took photographs and asked me a number of questions to determine what I had in mind. My corner lot in Fairfield is somewhat elevated and highly visible. I wanted an outdoor space that was ‘easy care’, functional and connected to my neighborhood. Following that he promptly provided a detailed design concept which I loved. Once I decided to go ahead with the project Duane recommended a local landscape contractor and he continued to stay involved in every detail of the plan (fencing, size and placement of rocks, size and placement of paving stones, etc). Through our collaborative effort my front/side yard has been transformed from an unmanageable, unsightly, embarrassing mess to an outdoor space that I enjoy and am very proud of. The entire process was exciting, positive, very rewarding and within my budget.
