Escape Plan Designs

Ali has completed some plans for the extension of our home. She did up four options all of which would work with the space and meet our needs. She completed the work quickly and was very easy to work with. I know she has been in the industry for a long time and I cant wait to have her help with the final design and implementation process!

Working with Alison Ross from Escape Plan Designs was an amazing experience. Alison does a wonderful job in identifying a client's taste and style and incorporating that into any work she does. Alison has a great sense of color/style and final vision for any project she undertakes. When we moved house in early 2013, we quickly realised that despite its size, the house lacked many things we value highly, and some changes would be required. We didn’t want to rush into piecemeal changes, or spend money on something short term that would be ripped out in the long-term. We had worked with Ali on an office refit project earlier, and asked if she could apply her skills and knowledge to our domestic issues. From the beginning Ali impressed us with her professionalism, enthusiasm and great communication skills. She listened and questioned well in order to formulate an accurate design brief to meet all our needs. This free and regular communication continued throughout our journey and was fantastic - we really felt that Ali understood our objectives and addressed these skilfully and with great success. In this way Ali developed an overall “Masterplan” for a longer-term renovation of our house which would allow us to work on sections as and when we could in the short-term. Once we had our ‘big picture’, Ali helped us zero in on a smaller project which we needed to prioritise. In October 2013 we commenced work to improve airflow and cross-ventilation, increase light and improve the overall look and feel of our living areas. By employing Ali, we had the complete package for this renovation in one: quality designs and drawings, an understanding of structural issues and a range of professionals to support each stage of the project, while also supervision of the project through to its completion and providing follow-up. Ali has a clever eye, a unique style and the knowledge and expertise required in so many areas in renovation: architectural design and drawing, interior design and current trends, an extremely high standard of work and even higher expectations of professionalism from her contractors. Thanks to Ali, this renovation went smoothly and with a fantastic result – even better than we had envisaged. Not to mention meeting our completion deadline – we needed it all finished before we were due to host a large function….got it signed off the day before! Thanks again, Ali! We absolutely love what you helped us create. The recycled timber louvre wall receives constant high praise.

For 30 years we had mulled over the renovations we needed to make to our old Queenslander, unable to decide what to do and how to do it. A friend suggested we consult Ali Boynton from Escape Plan. In a very short time she produced 3 amazing designs to choose from, with brilliant ideas we would never have thought of. She found a fabulous builder (Craig Martin,) whom we have used for further renovation work since then. She sourced the best painters and cabinet makers and really ensured that the final job was done to her satisfaction, nothing got past Ali. She changed our lives and made our small ordinary house more livable and lovable. We still look around in awe at what she accomplished " and give a silent "Thank you" to Ali.

Based on a recommendation from a friend I engaged Ali to assist with some renovations my husband and I were planning. We had been going round and around trying to come up with a workable plan to house four generations of family members who would be with us for the short and long term and we didn't want it to cost an arm and a leg. Ali came up with three very workable and highly desirable plans which when I described as "over delivered!". We would have light, breezes plus a highly coveted new kitchen and bathroom. Ali and Sarah are lovely girls who met our requirements and needs with sensitivity and respect for our lovely old Queenslander and the renovation, once we appoint a builder, will bring her into the 21st century and much improve our standard of living.
