Comments (9)my suggestions are only approximate as i can't read the measurements properly but the wall between the kitchen and new toilet is much more than 700mm but, what about the kitchen wall and door opposite the stairs...do you need to keep that wall? i've left a small section of wall at the end of the island if you need to keep a supporting post if you like the idea of the shower in the bathroom i need to know the exact space available in the rooms between kitchen and lounge but i've added a tiny bathroom for minimum sizes needed and the dotted lines show where walls have been removed the island is already very generous and plenty of room for stools along one side plus the enlarged area between the island and the outside wall to the deck is big enough for a full size table what goes in the pantry depends on what you want to use it for...some people use the pantry for using appliances, some use the pantry only for storage but think about your existing kitchen and what you like and don't like, how many adults and small children will live in the house, do you entertain large groups, do you like formal or informal meals, do you like to cook and bake, do you store lots of cans or packets, need a big fridge and/or freezer, coffee maker etc ...once the basic layout of the kitchen is decided there should be enough space to include most things you want...i notice you added an extra sink in the pantry...what's that for?...See MoreBathroom layout help - awkward space at bathroom
Comments (5)Yes thank you for your thoughts. the room is 2.8 (with window) vs 3.4m. I do find it a bit annoying too as I don't like that you open the door and see straight away into the shower (though I'm certain the door would have a lock). I'm sure they lined the bath up to be with the window as visually that looks better, but then I find the space at the end annoying. I like the alternative drawings (I like three of them lots!) and I had been considering an drop in bath built wall to wall rather than a freestanding but also finding it frustrating to find a really nice supportive bath and there are less drop in baths than freestanding around at the moment which is a bit annoying. Thanks Anna for the picture, that helps as that looks good (though we would have more space at either end, 50cm) and I prefer the look of yours with some space but not as cavenous... I think I might have to have a talk with my husband as we really need to work out what to do!!...See MoreEvie
