What a great picture - well done!! I'm with Barnhart on the Mossy Green shade. It will really make that picture stand out. I love the peacock colours for decorating and your blue chairs will blend beautifully.

Hi there, I'd suggest a dark, warm charcoal grey. It will offset the tones of your Coffee Cake nicely, look great with the turquoise, other timber and MCM, and will also let the colours of your chairs and the print do the talking. Have a look at something like Dulux Ricochet, or Charcoal Light. Have fun!

LOL Cloudpants - you are as bad as me starting with one idea and going way off into something else. That's decorating. So my personal opinion that I hope won't offend, but there is something missing in your room and it is all too "safe". You have great colours, and I like how your cushions compliment the geometric pattern in the rug, but there is no oomph. I would like to see some lime green or maybe even some orange to give it all a lift. The khaki wall could do with a lift but I don't think I would do another photo wall - maybe move the clock there or look for a more sculptured piece of art work.

I do like your collection on the window sill, but I think with other items nearby it is tending to a cluttered look. I would break the collection up and use pieces individually and swap them around as the mood takes. The orange piece would look good on the coffee table and the green vase in lieu of the blue piece on the cupboard for example.

Glad to help cloudpants - a real woman after my own heart. Definitely a cushion or two, an ornament or even surreptitiously bring the colours into artwork for the blank wall will all make a difference. Some texture in cushions makes a big difference too. Too many pieces and it can get patchy and confuse the eye. I never learned to get coffee stains out of anything either.

That is not a bad price for a canvas print actually, pity it is US though and probably not available here. Poor Wuff needs a peacock after her WCE lost the GF.

Wuff, if you are serious about getting one and prepared to pay around that price, check with local photographers a lot are doing canvas prints now and if they don't have something like that in their portfolio, they will try to get a photo for you in their travels.

Looks great! ...Had to check out this post as my daughter loves all things birds and especially peacocks. I am still trying to convince her that the 'pretty' ones are boys and that it might be tricky to grow-up to be one, so costumes will have to do (She is only 3)

I remember as a child being devastated when I realised the pretty ones are boys! Life so many hard things to learn!! Lorelei, sells prints of the peacock, they look fabulous. So hard to believe when all the fairies and princesses are girls :)

I won't go into my opinion as to why males have to draw attention to themselves:)) Wuff I love that painting. It is quirky and different and I'm always drawn to things a little out of the ordinary, I don't think you tire of them as easily. Your patience has really been rewarded.

What wall colour have you chosen, and have you considered French Grey (a bit greenish).
