Some simple ideas such a dual roller blinds have already been referenced. You’ll have to meet with a consultant to see how two fabrics pair, especially if you’re considering one being light filtering. You can also mix treatments such as a dark roller blind recess fit to the window, and a light roman blind fit over the architrave which will give you a soft fabric finish. Alternatively white plantation shutters contrasting an exterior black window frame can actually look really stunning. It does depend on the style of the black framing you use. You will need to look at how blinds will clear the door handle if recessed in the frame. There may not be enlightened space. Also wi5 the big door you will need to break it into two or maybe three blinds due to weight of a long span. It’s much easier to pull up a smaller blind which outweighs the negative, no pun intended. I’d look at white, But a pale green or blue may also work particularly if you can echo the colour in cushions, rug or artwork. Get the blind company to bring you samples.

Because you have stacker doors, ideally you need a vertical window treatment. Because you can’t walk out the door unless the door is clear of the roller blind/Roman blind etc. panel blinds or curtains would be my thoughts.

Yes, bigreader. My study adjoins the living room but is set much further forward. I wanted to use Roman Blinds in there. On the other side of the living room is the front entry (no windows - just front door) and a wide bifold door between the kitchen/meals area and terrace, then the pantry and laundry which I have wide horizontal windows as well but 600mm high, and I was planning a simple blockout roller blind for each of those windows. The bifold has a special pleated blind that fits into each section and I can't find any other window treatment for bifolds other than drapes, verticals, panels, or shutters that get in the way when the doors are opened. I think it would be quite a challenge to keep them consistent across the front, although I agree it does look better. Here is the plan as it currently stands (a few tiny tweaks to be made yet but nothing significant)
