Need help decorating my living room
Comments (12)If you want an all contemporary look, I think you will need to paint or cover the brick and remove the FP insert. But, if you need the insert and would like to keep the brick, a more transitional style would work. Meaning your furniture/accessories have a somewhat traditional look with a contemporary flair. Like a traditional shape lamp, with a contemporary look :) Do you like the FP as it is?...See MoreNeed help with decorating my living room
Comments (41)Hi there I think that adding in wooden decorations and real/fake plants can help bring a bit of life in to your space. And the tones of plants and wooden/nature looking items work really well with neutral colours. They can be both cheap and expensive depending on your taste so finding a bargain or something to suit your needs should be quite easy. If you want a more elegant look marble decorations even if small can be a great way to add a look of class. Candles are also a great way to add in some nice smells to invite people into your home. Keep in mind that sometimes less is more. Don't overdo it and have some fun! It's nice to shop for your home....See MoreNeed help with my living room
Comments (24)Been away just saw this I agree with others remove round coffee table replace with a not too large rectangular glass. Wall hang tv, (my choice above fireplace) remove tv console (u could use a low shelf of book case for DVD etc. ) replace with chest. Another option if it fits: Relocate left bookcase to where black recliner is & put recliner in that corner with floor lamp maybe behind it. The square box coffee tbl also looks out of place. Also Could one of door openings be filled in if there is an alternative access out of the room to the right of fire place. Love the fire place & floors....See MoreI Need help please for my living room.
Comments (46)Hi jen2608, the lounges will work. And the buffets. Get a rug that will be big enough to fit under the front of your lounges. With my quick sketch I would suggest a 2000mm x 2300mm size. Or at least a 1600 x 2300. Rugs are personal things. But with the beautiful deep wood furniture that you have, I would bring some similar tones in with the rug. But with a splash of colour to match your new lounges....See MoreLiz Maguire
