Hello, would like some help on the proper order of spaces in a master bedroom suite. Should it be Bedroom, Bathroom then walk in closet or Bedroom, Walk in closet then Bathroom I'd also like to know why.
Personally I recommend bedroom walk in robe then bathroom, reason to do with floor coverings. Tiled to wet area carpet to wir. Don't want to walk across wet tiles with socks/stockings on after getting dressed/changed. And if not socks/stockings you have shoes on wet tiles become more an ice rink. Purely just a personal preference and have seen it work the other way. Hope this helps Shane
I realize it is a personal preference, and either could work. But I prefer the bath in the back. I consider it a retreat, and if someone wants to take time in the bathroom, bathing, makeup, etc I prefer not to be disturbed by another walking through for clothing.
A lot depends on your window placement, as well as the size and layout of your bath. To utilize 3 large windows for our bath, we opted for bedroom, bath, closet. The bath although not huge is large enough not to be crowded if either of us is walking through to the closet. Maximize space with pocket doors.
