Saving water is not the problem but rather we should try not to waste it. If you wash veggies and fish in a bowl of water, it is all good to throw on the garden rather than down the drain. Fixing leaks is important if there are any, imagine how much water is loss from dripping taps alone. Unfinished drinking water in glasses can go on house plants. Buying plants that don't need much watering- like only just once a week. Using a bucket of water to wash a car rather than a hose. Also, in hot regions, form a 'bowl' in the sand around each plant so water just goes directly to that plant- and you can make a long groove so water continues to next plant. You could do that with those plants above even. Then add mulch, to stop the sun drying it up as fast.

Or if budget allows, why not have both an overhead shower rose from the ceiling and a wall mounted handheld shower head. Hubby prefers overhead shower (and I think most guys do as they don't really care if their hair gets wet) but I don't wash my hair everyday and wanted a wall mounted handheld one, so as we couldn't agree we settled for both with a diverter mixer tap. P.S. the ceiling shower rose we got can be slightly tilted and I think most of them do so you can have it at a bit of an angle. P.P.S. if you can't get both then I would go with a wall mounted handheld shower head as it will be much easier to clean the shower area, can't imagine the practicality of cleaning with an overhead... good luck! :)

OK it's ugly, but think it through. It looks like you've had to get down quite low to take the photo - when you stand up is it better, or worse? Could a blind or curtain take it out of your view without costing a fortune and if you're really unhappy, move it when you have the cash. Of course, if you have that now, I would get it done straight away so it doesn't become an ongoing issue for you. If you move it now you'll probably never think of it again. If you can't afford to do that, look at the other couple of options I mentioned. A blind that moves off to the side, rather than up and down, could be the go for that. Then I'd be sending the photo you have here to several plumbers and find out who could move it for you and at what price. Obviously they'll have to come an quote properly but if you have someone saying it can't be done and someone saying it can, you need to sort that out first because it may not be an issue at all.

I don't think I'd lay wood directly on the concrete, if that's your plan. It would be like laying a wood deck on bare earth: the wood gets wet, the underside can't dry out, so the wood rots. Building the deck above the concrete, with some clearance between the two, would be better, I think - it would allow water to drain through and the wood to dry out.
