What ever you feel comfortable with. For years people have been storing eggs in a larder/pantry and providing you choose good quality eggs from reputable sources it should be perfectly ok to store eggs at room temperature. In fact many chefs support this as the eggs perform better in cooking when kept out of the fridge. A few years ago test was done on Lion-branded eggs. Two batches of eggs were kept for a fortnight, one at room temperature, the other at typical fridge temperature. Samples from both batches were regularly tested for a wide range of bacteria including E.coli, salmonella and listeria and there was no difference between the two batches. Both remained bacteria-free.

I have been doing it for about 8 years now and wouldn't shop any other way! We are a family of 9 which means 2 to 3 trolleys at the supermarket and many heavy loads from the car.I had a very difficult pregnancy 8 years ago and decided to give it a go and have never looked back.I have tried both woolworths and coles and personally like Coles better,(i found with woolworths lots of items missing and hard to get through on the phone).Coles is fantastic! I shop at home where I can check to see what we need and I can see my trolley total as I go and am able to check it at the end and delete anything if I spend too much,not so much impulse buying,I don't have to take the kids,I can choose a 2 hour delivery window and they email me an approximate time as well! They have never been late and if they are running early they will call me to make sure thats ok.The delivery guys are lovely and we have the same 3 or 4 regulars,who even make time to stop and pat the dogs.We have a steep driveway with steps and they carry the shopping up and into the kitchen.I also get an email about any out of stock items and substitutions (which they only do if you request).As a bonus I get Flybys points which we use to get free movie tickets for the school holidays! I would recommend it to anyone!

you can't beat white, it goes with everything, clean and crisp looking, my choice would be fridge top and freezer bottom, better still two separate side by side, if there's room, keep a thermometer in both to check on temp, as the ones in the appliance are usually not accurate,, and check the lights, mine are always flickering on and off when i open the door, buy one with wheels so that you can pull it out to clean

Jessica Craig, I thought you might like to know this. When my daughter was a baby and I took her for swimming lessons, I met another wonderful Mum Wendy and her daughter, Sophie. Sophie's father had recently passed away and so Wendy was trying to adjust to the hand that fate had dealt her. They had not long purchased their house too. We have remained very close all these years and I can report that both Soph and Wendy are a force to be reckoned with. Sophie (now 15) is a talented singer, is doing well at school and has oodles of personality. Wendy is studying online and working towards fulfilling her dream of one day writing a children's book. The house has been renovated and is a very warm and welcoming home. It has not always been an easy road as single mum for Wendy, but it continues to get richer as the years move by. I hope that in some of your harder moments, this may bring some small level of comfort to you.
