Hi there - I am about to embark on a project on a MCM 1970's untouched classic brick split level home in Melbourne -inner East.
The current 'gold carpet' will be leaving - and in its place I am looking for a slick/contemporary floor. I will be paying homage to the period throughout.
I love polished concrete floors (and we are fortunate enough to have concrete under the carpet). This will be an upmarket make over - as the bones are fantastic - but the home needs some 'sexy back' ;)
Any thoughts or suggestions? I am open to a dark wood floor in part of the 'classic L shape' - but am interested in others perspectives.
Cheers!
