I didn't realise you were into my age group, you are holding up very well. I thought the house was new, that is great you have long term options, are you in a Seniors development with Anglicare? They seem to be very good, they do a lot for my mother-in-law. If the lounge is for you in the hot weather then go all out with a chaise. I just love mine, trouble is I rarely finish a TV programme before I nod off. Posting photos is easy, assuming you will be using a normal camera and Microsoft - I don't know Apple, can't work it out from my iPod. Download your photos to your computer, then click on the "attach images" below here. You can only do one at a time with a limit of 4. Click on 'browse' below and you will get a drop down box "choose file to upload". Click on Pictures options, click on a photo and then click "open". The next box on here with then give you the 'browse' option and you repeat the process. Hope you have a great trip to Townsville. Haven't been there, I've done Rocky, McKay, Bowen, Cairns and Port Douglas. Cairns and PD were great for shopping, but of course they are very touristy so there is heaps on offer.

My grands each have a walk in wardrobe in their bedrooms with a simple desk like that filling the space beside it and their rooms always look nice. There is then provision for a chest of drawers to be pushed under it if more storage is needed and one grand has a narrow box with shelves sideways at one end of the desk that allows readily accessible storage of frequently used items. This allows the full depth of the desk to be kept free for a computer screen, keyboard, tablet, and other reference material or whatever project the child might be working on and visually reduces clutter too. The beauty of a desk like that is its versatility - if you had a guest staying, you could hang a mirror on the wall and the desk would make a perfect vanity area for the guest.

One suggestion I'd make - shelves above a bed are very hard to reach, without standing on the bed. There are many beds though that fold up into a wall cabinet, so take up the thickness of a mattress/frame when folded up. It also makes for a tidier office when it's not a guest room. You may have to hunt for a fold-out that hinges on the long side - most are hinged on the short side (i.e. hinge under the pillow). If you can't find the right unit you might be able to swap with the shelves behind the door, or on the opposite far wall. You'd then have to rejig the other shelves you want above the bed, or move the bed unit the depth of the shelves out from the wall, or rotate it 90 degrees to parallel the wall to the credenza. I'm trying to work out exactly the same problem in my study as we speak :-) albeit with a different floorplan. Good luck!

we have a "cosy cottage" style house where we have dormer windows in the 2 bedrooms upstairs with timber cathedral ceilings. Causing some problems with having wardrobes for clothes storage. In our spare bedroom downstairs we solved this problem by installing a built in wardrobe with mirrored sliding doors. This room is right beside the bathroom so it works really well as a dressing room.
