Hi, I live in the country, so anything I put on my veranda has to be impervious to dirt. I got a cute outdoor rug, made from recycled plastic (hose it down) from Fabhabitat.com.au. Lots of colours. Then a bistro type table and 2 chairs. Depending on when your sun hits that part of the house, it could be a nice place to sit and read over a coffee. They also have outdoor wall décor, for the bit of fence you have there, or maybe put a vertical garden on the fence to buy back space. Good luck

Hi there, I do like your concept of a gun-metal wall colour however there are a couple of options you may like to consider before using such a striking wall colour in the nursery. Firstly, the predominant colour scheme appears quite muted and calm, but reducing the intensity of gun-metal grey wont work with the beige curtains. To sharpen up the look of the curtain, attach a bit of bling at every 20cm, possibly using that colour on your feature wall. For example if you use colour crystals in purples or topaz, then you could pick up those tones in your new feature wall colour. Secondly, I didn't see any storage in the nursery, so have you consider working some shelving into your decal and installing wall sconces for a soft warm lighting effect. This soft lighting would provide you enough light at night during feeding. Shelving doesn't have to be square timber screw-fixed to your wall, but it can be a composite of materials (some hard and soft) to accommodate all your needs but without cluttering up the floor space. Rachael, you’re very welcome! It was fun to draw up. As far as layering photos, I wasn’t suggesting you cover one photo with another, (what is the point of having beautiful photos and memories then! Lol) rather, overlap the edges of the frames (both are quite wide from your photos) so that they are connected without obscuring the images within. Hope that makes sense! What a difference just painting that back wall makes! It really opens up the room now. I think the few bricks around your fireplace now is a very charming feature. It keeps the charm of the original while bringing the rest of the room into a fresh new era! Well done! I would suggest running a long extension chord for your tv for now while you try out a new layout for the space if there are no powerpoints on the far wall, just to be sure you like the arrangement.
