Do you want to resell it? If not: buy it, when it is worth 50 Dollars to you. You must like it. And if you say: "Hey, I'm happy seeing that pillow 365 days a year, and it's worth for me economise 2 dinners at pizza hut, so I can afford it" - do so. And if anyone says: "OMG, you gave so much money for that cheap junk?" -> if that cheap junk makes you happy, it's worth the money. You have to feel good in your home, your home is not for impressing people.

Agree with Linus, if you really love it and it makes a fabulous statement in your room, then I don't think that is expensive for Australia. I have paid that much for cushions recently and have been very disappointed with the insert anyway. Just getting the cover, means you can buy the quality insert you want.

BTW - it is a very elegant cushion and I don't think it looks cheap at all.
