Love or loathe? Chrome in kitchens
Comments (6)Hi Luke, love your question. Love and Loathe are very strong opinions. I think chromes ok! Just fiiiiiiine. Don't love it, probably wouldn't want it in my own kitchen. But don't loathe it. I like the pendants in your photo but prefer the chrome in this kitchen - same lights, just fresher/brighter colours!...See MoreI need help choosing kitchen cabinets colour selection
Comments (17)Your kitchen is a good size but not huge so I would go with gloss white to match in with your lovely fridge. All white appliances. Light coloured bench top in the grey range. Backsplash, I'd go to tile expo, choose something you love and add some colour behind the stove, the rest of the splashbacks behind the sink etc in white subway tiles. Dark floors as you have chosen, all the walls in the house Dulux Whisper White. This is a great colour to go with everything, i use it all the time in my designs....See MoreKitchen Cabinet and wall colours???
Comments (7)Thanks bigreader for your advise. Whites are SO HARD. I have done a test patch with the Casper white half and fear it is too grey/green and too modern. The rest of the house is more warm white tones and the floor boards are warm. Confusing as the laminex bench top has grey tones and the splashback is navy? Leaning now more towards Snowy Mountains Half or Natural White - but what about trims??? Really trying to avoid the yellowish/old look that warm whites can throw as half done the bedrooms trims and doors in Antique White and they look old/tired already after 3 years. thanks for your time...See MoreTwo-pac colour advice for kitchen cabinets-desperate!
Comments (15)Lovely, would you be happy with something a darker shade of grey or a more lighter neutral. Im only thinking as time goes by it is easy to change your wall colour than your cabinetry and colour can be added to your kitchen in many ways that are simple change. Have you thought yet about your splashback. I made my decisions on my kitchen by first thinking what I don't want. For example I am not a fan of polished surfaces so then I went abou looking for matt ones. Sometimes I think with the endless choice it's best to start at the other end....See MoreUser
