It is north facing & east on other corner, metal flat roof with consequence during winter the rain runs back away from the gutter and during summer the heat is so unbearable it is a quick run to the clothes line or to fill the dogs' water bowl. It is paved with grey pavers, 11mx4m in size. I have thought of things of enclosing totally with shade cloth even on top of the roof & then sectioning off seating/dining area and with final 4m sectioning off to make another bedroom for me as I have family coming in Jan/Feb & need another bedroom for the 2 children aged 4 & 5 and the breeze comes from the east which would make sleeping bearable at night.
