Need help with celing finish for entry
Comments (15)Beautiful Are you up for a red front door? I like the nimbus gray exterior house with white trim, too. Gray & white also looks good with touches of brick (chimney, or landscape) and touches of black wrought iron (lights, fences, decorative railing). A tree with red leaves can also enhance (miniature red maple?) Comments (16)Hi I really like the grey. It is on-trend, neutral and would allow the painting to 'pop.' Perhaps if the baskets were white the whole picture would hold together better. All of the photoshopped colours you have chosen are cool/blue toned and the baskets are warm/yellow toned. I think that is what is confusing you. Also the vase seems too tall for that setting. Try a green plant in a shallow, flat white pot. Enjoy....See MoreI need help with the exterior finish of my property .
Comments (3)White picket fence and landscaping. Driveway looks quite ok. New letterbox. I would change the second storey additions windows to match the existing house better. If you don't think you'll use the juliet balcony, i'd remove it and replace the sliding door with windows. A colour change would work wonders as the white is too stark and crisp. A pale to mid grey perhaps. Roof colour looks fine as it has a colour link to the driveway. Keep the low railing on the existing dwellings veranda but remove the metal ornatmentation's near the veranda posts....See MoreHelp with foyer /front enterance
Comments (9)Hi Kel B, what a lovely home! I'd recommend doing a long hall runner to replace the rug which is there - and I'd run it from the bottom of the stairs to that lovely console table you have. The Dharma Door have some gorgeous Jute Runners which I think would compliment the timber tones of your stairs and soften the floor beautifully. Let me see if I can attach a link Hall Runner Idea I'd also suggest a large palm of some description in a large pot to sit by the glass panel by the front door at the bottom of the stairs. You may need to move the artwork slightly to the left towards the stairs to accomodate it but I think it would be a worthwhile addition to marry the outdoor greenery with the indoor and from the other end of the hall you will still see the flashes of greenery between the stairs, which would be lovely. I'd maybe bring the console down a few feet so that's it's in the middle of that wall that it's on. i.e centred between that other opening and the end of the wall where is is currenlty. Then, what you could do is put a bench seat on the wall opposite (under the stairs) for putting shoes on an off with some lovely rattan baskets underneath to also hold shoes. Possible with a small indoor plant beside it too. Let me attach some images here for inspo ... Or some hooks on the wall under the stairs to break up that wall? Maybe a round mirror above the console? Plant I'd go as large as... I hope that helps, good luck! Laura...See Morenewknees
