Netty, firstly thank you for posting your question because we are stuck on splashback ideas also and the only difference between our kitchens is that you have opted for gloss on your cupboards and we have gone satin. We are currently waiting on our shi*take bench tops to be installed.... hopefully within the next week. After much googling, hubby has decided that he likes the glass bullet style in a neutral tone (much like the tile you have gone with but in glass obviously) and I am liking the bullet style tile also, just not sure whether glass or a mix of stone, glass etc would work. At least I know we are on the right track now, so thanks again! Can't wait to see a photo when your done (hint hint ;-) )

You can always go with textured glass or slump glass,it has a more rustic look and doesn't look so modern as plain glass, it's much easier to keep clean too as it doesn't streak and there is no grout...we have a very traditional kitchen and it looks amazing,this is my laundry and is actually quite a vibrant purple with dragonflies on it because,in the laundry,why not? The kitchen is more nuetral......

I am making very similar decisions and am thinking of going for a monochrome graphic pattern like the examples you have. No doubt it will date, like everything does, but at least I will be able to change the look of the kichen by changing the colour of less permanent accessories. Gallifrey, I am looking at doing my kitchen in a very similar style and colour palette as yours, could you tell me what the finishes on your cupboards and benchtop are?

Hi Natalie, I like highly polish white texture tiles, not flat ones. Pick a nice polished tile with waves or angles and may be add some highly polished mosaic. The light bounces off them and give's an expensive elegant look. I like this idea around the range you could put some small timber shelves (on one side of range or both) in either veneer or laminate, the timber bulk head looks good too. I love the clean look of white / grey and the honey colour timber.
