How about a pale mushroom colour?

Leave the house close to the colour it is now.
Render the fence to match.

I had my house rendered last year. To decide on colour, I first drove around looking at rendered houses, to get a feel for the colours & tones I preferred.

Then I used the "Paint Your House" program on the Dulux website. You can either look at their various "stock" houses, or upload a photo of your OWN house. Then, using their colour selector & painting program, you virtually "paint" your house, so you can see what it will look like when done.

Once I'd narrowed it down to a couple of colours, I got sample pots in full-tint, half-tint, and quarter-tint. Painted sheets of papers with them, and stuck to outside house, so I could see what the wall colour would look like during various times of day / sun vs shade /etc. It was a bit stressful worrying how it would look when finished (since I went a deep ocher gold), but I'm thrilled with the result.

Completely agree with anjayma66 and elskerdesign. What a great idea to put painted sheets of paper on the walls and that dulux program sounds amazing. Good luck. Ps. Would love to see an "after" shot when done...

We couldn't go neutral as 2 adjacent properties were neutral and it would have made ours look too bland. So we went to the other extreme - very dark grey with doors/windows of green (Golden Delicious). Love the result. BUT! It has made the house hotter in summer. If we ever get sick of it (and have lots of time on our hands) we think we might repaint it. There is a lovely white/smoky grey out now that is not as boring as white and looks great with timber or charcoal trim.

My house was dark mission brown, so going an ochre gold has cooled it down a bit, since it doesn't absorb as much heat. I have aircon in lounge & kitchen, and portable aircons for the back rooms if I'm using one of those. To offset the cost of running lots of cooling (summer) and heating (winter), I added lots of solar panels :)

I think if you know you want it to be light and neutral stick to that. Remember that colours always look lighter outside because there is so much sunlight, so try some sample pots a shade or two darker than you think. I'd paint at least two coats on a small area right on to the house.

My personal preference would be to use the Feng Shui direction colours.

Having said that, houses can look really good in warm earth tones. Mustard, light ochre, mushroom, cream would all suit here, but I would also render the fence to match.

Also what kind of landscaping are you considering?

In terms of style it reminds of a beach house with the lovely breezy verandah and clear glass.

I would use sea grasses and bleached wood as an inspiration and think modern beach and go from there! Hope you post the result either way! Good luck.
