I actually really like the festoon lights! Fairy lights remind me too much of Christmas to have as an all year round feature.

If you are using LEDs always choose warm white for domestic interiors.

We are renovating the interior of our common property apartment building. There is not a great deal of natural light, so we are painting the walls Casper White. We need some contemporary lighting that will modernise the building. The lights are on all day and night, so LED is probably preferred? Where are they to be attached? I too was thinking lanterns suit a verandah but are those log walls? Even if the lanterns can be installed I'm not sure they'd look right? So I'm thinking maybe bunkers.
