I am making very similar decisions and am thinking of going for a monochrome graphic pattern like the examples you have. No doubt it will date, like everything does, but at least I will be able to change the look of the kichen by changing the colour of less permanent accessories. Gallifrey, I am looking at doing my kitchen in a very similar style and colour palette as yours, could you tell me what the finishes on your cupboards and benchtop are?

Hi ucheokeke1 colour matching to the tile should be relatively simple as already explained. However even if you find the right paint colour, unless you ask for optically clear glass (known as Starphire glass in Australia) your colour will be skewed by the natural green skew of ordinary glass. If you can source a coloured glass splashback that's close to your chosen colour from a standard range you will be OK with normal glass. If there is nothing similar in a standard range, the only way to ensure true colour representation is to pay the extra for optically clear glass. I hope this makes sense.

HI Lyn Depends on where you live, but here in Auckland, Winstone Glass will give you a glass splashback in ANY Resene colour, which would mean you could get exactly what you want. Personally I have a white kitchen with white speckled granite tops, and all walls white, so I went with a black glass splashback that has an ever so slight sparkle at night, doesn't sparkle in daytime. Looks stunning. You can get cheap pre made splashbacks at Mitre 10, Bunnings etc, but they don't use the glasskote technology, so you can see in behind them, whereas Winstones ones, you can have white and not see the wall at all. Tiles are always good, either small textured tiles, or large format tiles (less grout makes for easier cleaning) it really depends on what kind of style you are going for in your home. Is it earthy/rustic or glossy/contemporary. Or mid century.... too many choices.
