Hi,
Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on having pendant lights for a 2.7m ceiling? We are moving into a new place soon and they just have the standard light fitting. We're thinking of getting quite a few pendant lights for the lounge, dining and bedrooms. My concern is will pendant lights make the room feel small or make it look out of place or a safety hazard as I would just need to raise my arm a little and hit the light?
From what I can tell, a pendant light will hang down by about 0.7m and I'm 1.8m tall. That leaves only 0.2m inbetween my head and the light. Is this normal?
I can see it being okay over the dining table but for areas such as the lounge and bedrooms, would it look weird?
Thanks for any input.
