The grey wall colour! This colour pallette from the deepest to the lightest has been on trend for a while now ... and it doesn't seem to matter what room of the house: it is becoming rather ho hum!! No proportion, balance, harmony with the elements in the room. Is this room a backpackers shared TV room?

I love nature so I saw the mountains first, then the flat roof, then the rain chains, then the glass walls, then the man, then the dog, then the whole picture. Quite a pleasing aesthetic overall. ...and Chook, I'd like to know WHY you are up on the roof in the first place!

What size is the picture ? Why I ask , is it sounds like everything in the room is grey or black , and just my opinion , but a mid blue isn't much better against greys , and while you might call them pink and light blue , the other cushions look skin and grey . Me -- I'd go for a rich Royal Blue mat , or even something with white chevrons against the royal blue . Then I'd double down with a mix of mid blue and mid yellow cushions ( or again maybe chevrons too ) . And don't say that is too bright -- the painting is basically those colours arranged in an abstract fashion , so it all plays together and complements each other . You are starting at boring , then downplaying it -- be brave and take the impetous from the picture and up the excitement but keep it cheerful , DO NOT dumb it down .
