Which house/roof colour??
Comments (10)I agree about the grey roof. Did you know that the black roof is banned is certain countries because of its environmental negatives? I also think that a black roof is the ugliest sight. I personally would never have any other roof colour, on a visible roof [ours is a flat roof] than a mid to dark grey. The render does need to be toned down and the garage door needs to change to the same roof grey. The picket fence will be at odds with a modern update of the house - it has too much of the cottage look about it. So you really need to think about what style of home you want to depict before making any more changes. All of your updates then reflect this new look. Comments (14)I really hate black and enjoy natural bathrooms. You can add colour in various ways, including towels, accessories. And change the accents as you get sick of them. I've never got over black baths that existed in my childhood (and looked dated then) - too dark for most spaces and show up soap, powder etc far more than natural tones....See MoreGutter colours to go with Basalt roof, black windows, reclaimed brick
Comments (0)Hey All, we are building a Modern Industrial/Hampton style home, we have Basalt roof down on our Basix, black windows, reclaimed bricks on the lower level and will be having white weatherboard for the upper level. We are thinking of Black gutters and down pipes as we can’t match them to the walls so thought we would make them stand out. Oh, also we are having exposed rafters and paneling in white. Anyone have any thoughts or advice?...See MoreHelp! Which roof color go well with Basalt facia, gutter and timber?
Comments (8)On a positive note , almost anything will look better than the butter . Except grey . I can't quite work out the roof colour , but it looks like it may be that brown that had a burgundy/purple tinge ? I'd do the trim in a lighter colour along the lines of Surfmist -- an offwhite with a slight blue tinge -- it would work well with the windows , but also I suspect you wouldn't need to consider changing the roof colour , unless you are sick of it -- the advantage is you do the trim , wait a month or more , see what you think . And rather than the roof , with the lighter trim colour done , I'd be more inclined to spend the 'roof money' on doing a nice cedar or even oak ( real or fake ) timber garage door -- and waterblast the driveway ....See More- 11 years ago
