the shape of the extended roof depends on the available height as which roofing material is used...i notice that the existing verandah has two sets of posts as though it has already been extended and appears to have corrugated iron on the verandah roof which really needs a higher slope to function effectively over greater distances...although it will be so much more work and cost i suggest that the very best result would be achieved if you first decided what size undercover spaces you need and then redesign the whole space rather than adding on an extension ..my suggested small gable is only on top of the existing verandah roof to add some interest instead of having a deeper verandah across the whole front of the house you could add a new area at right angles to the existing house that could is much more generous and avoid changing too much of the original...post a rough floor plan of the house showing inside rooms, verandah (showing all the posts) SIZES, direction of north, and any views, describe your climate and show the distance from the front of the house to any front and side fences how do you plan to use the new space??

Hi Di, The glass can be kept clean for longer by wiping down the glass with a window wiper after use as it removes the calcium deposit in the water left on the screen. When it comes to cleaning It is no different to cleaning the tiles simply mist the shower tiles and glass panel with pure, undiluted white vinegar. Let the white vinegar sit on the calcium deposits for 15 minutes clean with a sponge and rinse with water. A glass panel will give the appearance the room is much larger then it is whereas if you enclose the shower area with a tiled wall this will close the room off and can make the shower area closed off and in some cases dark and poorly vented leading it the get mould easier. My Opinion would be to go with a glass panel. Hope this helps with your decision making

is the wall behind the vanity 2400 or 1800 and do you need to include a toilet in the room? and by "full length vanity" do you mean a counter that is the same width as the whole wall (2400 or 1800?) and where is the window? ...pending more detail two versions that might be worth considering... but the widthways bath allows more standing room, bigger bath, double vanity with matching wall cabinet, wall spoace for towels and having the vanity hung on the wall instead of standing on the floor allows extra floor space for a waste bin, scales, slippers etc and makes the room feel more spacious and don't forget hooks/racks on the back of the door for clothes and towels..and using standard 1500 wide vanity and 750 wide bath allows for a small gaps besides the vanity that is ideal to hang a hairdryer and this arrangement uses standard sized fixtures
