Design Dilemma
Exterior colour help

I need to suggest a new colour scheme to bring this block of apartments out of the 80's and into the modern day. It is in an upmarket beach town in Queensland, Australia so it's always warm weather.

Thank you, yes plan was definitely roof to match. And yes was tossing up the window colour but they need to be replaced so agree, best to stick to the same.

Hi all, after some advice on what colour to paint weatherboard on the bottom level. The upper level we will be doing vertical merbau battens. We’ve painted our poles in colourbond woodland grey. Not sure if we should go dark to give it a woodsy moodier look or lighter to give it beachy look. Thanks!

Hey Rebecca, Hope this quick little design I did for the exterior of your home can help with some colour ideas. having black in your brick I chose to use the greys on the outside and whites to add some pop to the exterior. Timber panelling for the top half to match the posts.

I'm just trying to work out -- is this 1 house or 2 units ? Why I ask is that the right side has established gardens and the like , whereas the left is left fairly plain ? As Maye says , a timber garage and entry door plus maybe a palm or similar garden on the left side , similar to the right side would all help . Even though the place looks 80's , with the block wall rendered and painted , the cedar or similar garage door , a left side garden , and even basic upgrade like tinted glass screens on the terraces ( even that stick on film will last a couple of years , maybe $1000 installed , but personally I'd go actual tinted glass even if it was $4-5k . Generally I prefer houses that look their era , but theres actually enough that has modern elements that you could , if you wanted , spend $100k and make it look 2000's , and without knowing your area or values , you'd probably get that and more back if/whem you resell , and have something more modern looking in the meantime .
