brick wall so no option for cavity sliders gas heaters are already in that middle wall as marked, old heaters i think i need to service them as not sure when its serviced last also has two split aircons on both rooms on the far end no weather seals on entry doors, i can feel cold air is coming under some doors, where can i get the seals or is there someone who can come nd check all doors/windows and seal them tin flat room with not much space in between. I think there is insulation in the middle if not its very hard to do anything without opening up the roof sheets. We have double roller blinds on one side. No curtains on patio door(kitchen).

Do this yourself it will save money. Figure out how much of the wall you are wanting to cover, figure out how wide u want the slats and then the gap. Then make sure you have the tools and order the materials from a hardware store or bunnings. Tools youll need are nails, hammer or brad nailer, level, pencil a set square. Thats all i can think of right now.

I don't think you can get a 'cookie cutter' answer . You'd need to look at , and know about , the room as a whole . My initial thought would be the longer wall as the feature -- you look at it as you enter , and its the plainest , whereas the toilet itself may be strong enough to be a feature , likewise so may be the vanity , especially with the mirror amd tapware etc . But there are so many other possibilities -- for example , I wouldn't want the whole longer wall in white subways ( sort of like Julie Herberts 2nd pic ) but it may look great in the green tiles of pic 1 , especially with say a strong toilet and a pine vanity and pine framed mirror ! Likewise , 3 or even 4 walls in a classy but slightly understated wallpaper may look great ( or 3 in wallpaper and 1 in complimentary tiles , for example ) , but with a plastic basin in a $60 vanity and a $99 toilet , maybe not so flash haha .

Never mind the mirror: FTB, I'll come back to that. There are two things I would change on this plan. I would change the bathroom door to be off the hallway and bring the toilet room door to the hall too so then the space behind the bathroom door you can add a vanity in the pwd room... very handy for peaceful family life and guests too. The next thing I would much prefer is to have the vanity cupboards to the floor and use drawers. You loose so much storage in the wall hang units and it must be easier to clear the floor to the kicker and not the wall far back underneath. Then mirrors with shaving mirrors above both will be great extra store for all the tiny things we keep in bathrooms. The height of these maybe determined by the structure and necessity without rebuilding the walls totally.... Go well> I hope this helps. Cheers Margot
