Thank you all who replied. I love the top picture in Julie Herbert's reply. I'd love to know how that look was achieved. Frosting film also looks good. My husband suggested painting, oklouise, but I read that it would just peel off glass. Good to know you've had success. I think I will try the trade-in approach initially and see what the cost would be, as my preference is smart-robe timber doors that match the wall colour. They are less obtrusive than mirrors, which seem to dominate the room and reflect all the things I prefer not to look at (Like myself first thing in the morning!) Fortunately, the existing doors are in perfect as-new condition.

I like your updated bathroom very much , as it looks clean , light and uncluttered . Are the fittings brass and do they stay untarnished?

The window wall is the longest, at 3300mm. You have said that the bottom of the window is 1600 FFL. I would put a full hanging space along that wall. 600mm deep, ledge on top of rail at the window frame. Storage baskets on top of the ledge, shouldn't stop too much light coming through. Then drawers/hanging on 1850mm wall, and narrow shelving on 2400mm wall, incorporating a full length mirror. The shelving could be deep enough for shoes, handbags, etc. if required, or even just hook boards for scarfs, belts, hats.

You have limited options as your bulging poorly laid brickwork draws attention to itself. I wouldn't try and hang anything to try and conceal it as the full wall is pretty rough. I would look at painting the wall black, then battening out the wall to provide a perfectly vertical surface, then apply clear stained timber battens. This will provide visual warmth, completely conceal your brickwork, and give you a flat surface to work with.
