Dyeing linen quilt cover

Hi, anyone has tried dyeing linen quilt cover? I am thinking of buying some vintage washed linen quilt covers from adairs which are on sale but I dont like the colors. I am thinking of dyeing them. Do you think it's a good idea?

I recently tries this but for a set of queen size bed sheets. (They were a gift but they were certainly not my choice of colour - pink!) SO i bought two packets of colour dye from Coles and put them through the wash like the instructions said.. it was all very simple and I didnt expect it to work but it did! My greatest fear was that they would immediately fade and the colour would run but 4 washes in and they are still a bold blue colour.

I think this should work just as well for quilt overs and possibly better for linen than cotton? Good luck!

As it is my own house this is my style and this is how I like it to be I don't care if you think it works or not I love it walking into these rooms actually don't make it closed in a photo can only take you so far it makes them much more modern and daring I like clean lines nothing to busy and I hate pops of color so please remember this is for me not your self It's not for everyone I totally get that But that's the best part about "houzz" there is something for everyone " keep it positive people "

I am not a fan of wrinkled look, I know it is meant to be wrinkly but I cannot live with it. I guess it is what you can live with. I just won't buy linen as in 100% linen because of it, in clothes or bedding. I know it is expensive and chic but I find it difficult to live with but other people will be complete opposite.

I love shades of blue through to green, so I'd take my cue from the deep green-blue throw rug in the Adairs photo. Preferably in a different fabric to velvet to mix up textures a bit. I do like the Morgan and finch diamond cushion too, if you prefer a more colourful option.

Hi Wish, I agree with the above about doing white as a staple. If you feel like a change up you could also explore some textured bedding and play around with some softer tones of pinks, purples and blues to play off the dark wall. I also love greys and blacks as well. I dont know what your setup looks like exactly but if you can afford to buy multiple sets of linens go for it! Below is a job I did for a client where they wanted to keep their white bedding and just accessorize, the options are endless:
