bathroom reno bath or no bath
Comments (8)I agree. A real estate agent told me that no bathtub can devalue a house and make it difficult to sell. Unless of course your area is more for singles/couples. I am about to renovate my bathroom and I am keeping the bath and making the shower bigger. I need to sacrifice the size of the cabinet/hand basin but with so many unique storage ideas out there, I will still have sufficient room for a family's bathroom needs....See MoreHow to fit walk-in shower and bath into “large” bathroom?
Comments (35)Hi Deonne If your bathroom requires the two doors, my suggestion is NOT to have a bath. Keep it very clean and neat Across the recess have either a walk-in shower with a 600mm opening OR a glass panel and door. You may consider a seat in the shower ( example on our website ) A recess ( niche ) for shower 300mm high max length Wall hung, all drawer vanity. In-wall cistern toilet suite. Mixer diverter, overhead and handheld shower. Quality tapware, with min 10-year warranty Porcelain floor tiles min 300 x 300. Tile to ceiling, ( unless home has high ceiling, if high, tile to an architrave height ) min tile size 600 x 300, Ceramic to rein in cost...See MoreSmall bathroom design - shower over bath?
Comments (26)To answer dreamers question as to why you might do this, I turn on my shower over my bath with the kids in there and put the plug in. The shower water fills the bath and when there is some depth, I turn the shower off and they sit down. I supervise the whole time, blowing bubbles and playing with them and they love it. I also keep a small stylish stool beside the bath so I don't have to sit on the ground. My children are 2 and 4. Obviously if your children are older this would not resonate :)...See MoreSmall Bathroom Layout Advice
Comments (2)I don’t mind your design. Whilst a nice view is good when you look through the bathroom door I wouldn’t compromise functionality to achieve it. I’ve attached a pic of a corner freestanding bath that may suit - easy to install, easy to clean. I have a toilet on the wall adjacent to a bedroom and haven’t had an problems due to its location - installation was easy due to the space and under the house and there isn’t a noise problem....See MoreUser
