It's a nice house and I think mid gray colour for balustrade and windows,white for eaves and you need a lot of landscaping to do , that is what is dragging house down. Demolish timber structure and get a professional to help you plan landscaping. The driveway has seen better days needs resurfacing or replacing. It's hard to advise somebody when we don't know your taste, budget,habits,lifestyle etc. Good luck it's a big job.

What you have created is a beautiful clean open space. But that is only the foundation. Now what is needed is you. You need to inject your personality and your family’s into the space. For nowhere do I see anything that tells me who lives there. And this is something you can add to as you live and use the space - in effect turning a gorgeous room into a home. Perhaps a vase of flowers on table or photos on sideboard or yes perhaps eventually changing mirror to a piece of art that grabs you. The trick is to not rush this stage. Live with the room and gradually add items you love to personalise it as yours. You have created a beautiful backdrop now it just needs you.

keep in mind that my plan has single external walls and all the inside and outside walls are 10cm thick to make drawing easier and the depth of the verandahs includes the eaves, adding a brick veneer would use more space and given the choice it would be lovely to plan for a covered walkway and raked ceilings in the living areas and this is a very basic gable roof but there are lots of more exciting/expensive roof options to consider

I seem to look at things differently . The roof is weird -- straight cut at one end , tapered at the other . Normally I like timber , and on its own , the timber eve and the front door are fine . I'd normally even suggest going for 2 timber garage doors , and is that a window on the middle room ? If it is , I don't like the blue curtain -- ordinarily I'd suggest timber horizontal venetians . But as weird as the roof is , you are pretty much stuck with the blue . So I'd suggest going black and white -- do the eve in charcoal ; the 2 garage doors preferably get wooden ones and stain them charcoal , because painting the existing ones will just look like painted 40 year old doors . That way too ( the black and white theme ) , the front fence would tie in . If that is a curtain in the middle window , get a dark grey/charcoal one , personally I'd do the front door a bright red or orange , but a lot of people would stick with black . The white pole at the front door could be painted black , but personally I'd like to do stacked dark slate or similar . And a final touch -- a couple of big , brighter outdoor glazed pots , with 'interesting' plants in different heights and colours . The living plants will add some interest , while the pots themselves add some colour . Maybe trim the plants , add a pebble or bark garden , but thats about it .
