How can we improve the street appeal of our home?

We bought this property late last year. We would like to improve the street appeal of the home.

Some of the issues we have are:

* The colour of the window frames is primrose cream

* There are black drainpipes running down the left and right of the front of the house. While this is practical in relation to drainage, it does not look good from the street.

* When the previous owners added the second storey to the home, they reused the bay windows they had in the home when it was single storey. Therefore there were not enough windows to add across the front, so they added a standard window to the side of that bedroom above the garage instead.

What colour scheme do you think would look good? Also, what would you suggest we do to improve the symmetry of the property's facade?

Lately we have been considering adding some decorative metal screening to fill the blank wall above the garage, but we are concerned that it will not achieve the right effect.

Any suggestions or visual interpretations would be much appreciated. Thank you.
