Dilemma #2 Here's an elevation of the powder room which has a 120mm drop down in the stone then a 180mm laminate panel... The idea is for it to look a bit (although not exactly) like this... Our floor tiles are similar (if not the same) as the above photo and go up the wall to below the vanity, the 180mm panel (which photo doesn't have - incidentally, what do you think of the shelf underneath the vanity?) is a black laminate and the feature tile between the vanity and the mirror (incidentally, should we take the mirror to the ceiling?) is Jewels Preto: So which colour should we go for the stone top, Lagoon or Blanco Zeus??... I'm swaying towards Lagoon as it's a bit more of a feature than just plain white, but I'm unsure :/

You could go with subway tiles- very trendy at the moment. These are 3x6cm and bring the wooden bench top together perfectly. Hope we have provided some inspiration in trying something completely different! Of course glass is a classic for splash backs!

Ali your kitchen looks amazing. The colours are wonderful. I have a question for you about the Rugged Concrete. I’m thinking of using it on our island bench but I’m a little worried about finger marks and cleaning. I’ve read lots of bad reports about the other Caesarstone concretes like Fresh,Raw and Sleek. And I’m hoping Rugged Concrete is easy to clean. How is yours now that you’ve had it for a little while?

Ok but check again what you’ve got - hex tiles will be above what ? Sink stove or benchtop. How do they go with vivid white cabinetry? Visually in kitchen you’ll see the bench against wall paint or splashback but vertically mostly splashback against cabinetry with just horizontal line of bench so Grey you’ve chosen prob good contrast. Re tiles you have to change are they laundry tiles or are they fixed? I don’t think benchtop in laundry and kitchen have to match just blend so could have white bench in laundry and Grey in kitchen ESP if laundry will be dark. But as you don’t really see bench against floor it don’t really matter if both Grey. In one unit I had ceasarstone urban grey kitchen benchtop with laminate polar white cabinetry and Grey floor tiles which extended into laundry but darker Grey laminate bench in laundry and looked very stylish
