What should we do with our L-shaped courtyard?
Comments (79)Lovely area! You have done a great job! Just a thought i would have put decking to one side and only had one side with stone and plants as putting the decking in the middle looks like a runway. Just my opinion. Black stone would look great instead of white. And painting the back bricks would have been better with a darker colour to make timber "pop" like the colour of your fence or black like the posts. Loving your ideas and transformation is fantastic!...See Moreupdate for 70s villa entry and garden bed
Comments (10)I would suggest some taller pots of varying heights for up near the front door amber glass where you currently have plants. This would assist with drawing the eye and positive energies towards the front door - great and inviting for visitors! Secondly I would get a trio piece of outdoor art which reflects some of the colours in your pots on the wall opposite your window again this will provide a homely feeling and be something to view through the window from the inside. Alternatively an outdoor rug for the porch area that might have a bolder geographic design and a monochromatic colour way. The garden in the steps I was wondering if some drought tolerate grasses would be nice? There are some with reds, purples and lush greens? This would provide visual appeal plus setting the "relaxed, friendly" occupants inside??...See MoreFront courtyard ideas please
Comments (4)Hi Chris, yes garden 4 would look stunning and compliment your house beautifully, the magnolia’s have an upright rounded look, I have them in my garden and they are gorgeous , I have both little gem and teddy bear, little gem seems to be hardier, have you thought of a small gabian wall maybe incorporating a seat with rock colour similar to the house, or Corten steel that ages beautifully , a stacked stone again in colours of the house could look great....See MoreCity courtyards and roof gardens
