Probably best option is to consult the nursery where you purchased the topiarised plants - as you say, not an insignificant investment and they may undertake to replace the plant or at least nurse it back to health. Any potted plant requiring full sun, such as yours, which is up against a wall and not receiving sun on all sides needs to be rotated otherwise it won't grow evenly on all sides. Another thing I do with all my potted plants, numerous of which are toparised (last count I had 40 pots of 30cms or bigger) is I first plant into a plastic pot and put the plastic pot into a decorative terracotta or porcelain pot, that way it is easier to lift the plant out to repot, relocate or replace if it dies - it also affords a barrier against sun heating up the side of the decorative pot thereby drying potting mix more quickly.

Unfortunately it looks as if the rocker above is in front of the opening section of the sliding door. The other glass door section probably doesn't open anyway, so treat it as a wall to some extent, this will allow more useable space - just leave a bit of a gap for window furnishings to operate. Having the crib on the original layout allows you to peek more easily when baby is asleep - although with the cameras now, this isn't a priority. My grandaughter waves at the camera when she has done something she knows she shouldn't. As far as layout is concerned, don't stick to a too regimented idea, but if placing overhead shelving, the southern wall would be best, as this is not a thoroughfare. There is not much room for block out curtains to stack on the sides of the end windows, a better option would be to use screen roller blinds for privacy during the day and Roman blinds placed over the top for privacy at night. Hi Siriuskey! Thank you for your recommendation. I actually dont know what I am having (eek!) so looking for something neutral, with pops of colour in the decor :) I hadn't tried the half strength yet - I think that might be a good next step.
