You need an apartment size sectional placed with the front towards the fireplace were you can walk behind it it were the new wall will be,have you tried adding more insulation? Rather than give up space? ,also a small credenza to the right of the fireplace with the tv on it would work with new smaller sectional and new placement ,but I would add more insulation and keep the area open

No single chairs (yet). The blue lounges are 100cm deep by approx 198cm long. I did place them adjacent one another to see if I could have that configuration but the one against the external wall extended past the door opening and it just didn't look right. So I presumed a cnr sofa with the short side against the external wall or sofa with chaise would probably be the best option. It is possible that I could get a 2 seater but would have the challenge to make sure it complemented the three seater rather than clash. There appears to be more choices for rhf sofas than lhf.

Hi Renata, we have a light caramel coloured leather lounge and a dark chocolate coloured lounge and there are pros and cons for each. The lighter one is a bit harder to clean - it shows up staining from natural oils but it is much easier to style with cushions and throws. The darker one hides a multitude of sins I suspect, although can show light coloured splatters - I can't even imagine what these are! I find the chocolate harder to style as not all colours look good on it.

Where is the French window? Do you mean the normal window? Does it open completely with hinges, or have sliders, or is it fixed? If it opens completely, then a single chair allowing for outside access would be wonderful. If it is fixed, then it will still look good. I find chaise lounges are awkward when having guests. Because someone will have to sit with their feet out in front of them, almost lying down. And this can be a bit embarrassing. I would keep with a normal three seater lounge and single chairs.
