The blue is a great color. But why one wall. Accent walls almost always look like "accident walls." Changing wall colors chops up the room and makes it look smaller. Put some olive green with that wonderful blue. Your room needs a theme. The best way to create a theme is with a fabric that has your blue and other colors. The window placement is also off putting. I would center the bed under one of the windows and put a tall open headboard possibly iron on the bed. If you don'[t have room for night tables put a shelf or slender skirted table between the head of the bed and the window. you will be able to reach through the headboard to access alarm clocks books ect. see ganttsdecorating.com portfolio-before and after for that type of arrangement.. Porters Rust Paint. It does look great as a feature but it's a shame most don't have the guts to use it. We are about to (next couple months) repaint our feature wall (10 years it's been maroon) to Porters Rust.

Lovely turquoise sofas, and your lounge has lots of natural light. What is the current wall colour? If you placed your sofas along both long walls, this would leave the window wall free for your view. Then you could have art on the walls behind sofas, or create a gallery wall of framed family photographs. A circular timber coffee table, or nest of tables, might work better in this scenario, with added benefit of no sharp corners for your little one.

Hello everyone. Can someone help me out with an appropriate grey feature wall colour? We are currently doing a modern contemporary new build. After much deliberation, I’ve decided to go with lexicon 1/4 on the walls, ceilings, skirting, doors and architraves. Would love to do a subtle grey panelled feature wall in our lounge room and the master bed. I’m thinking tranquil retreat. Does anyone have anyone experience or photos with this? And has anyone done lexicon 1/4 for their walls with European oak parquetry flooring? I love a crisp, clean white but hoping it doesn’t look sterile when it all comes together. Thank you.
