Hi Hannah! Wow I love the kitchen! I wish I had seen this earlier so I could suggest but I love the grey tile, it looks like a successful choice! You could add a marble cheese board to the island. The grey streaky tones In the board will probably tie in everything else. You could then put a terrarium on top of the marble board!

Hi Priya, while Metaline has a place in the market and is excelent for Aluminium Door inset panels for outdoor Kitchens; this material can however be scratched, scuffed, or dented whereas Glass Splashbacks are far more resilient. You may also like to take into consideration what your visible edges will look like once installed, as compared to Glass which are Polished and finished to size. With glass; there is also the added benefit of being able to have Any Colour your heart desires, including Metallics. If you obtain a quote locally to you, using Glass Splashbacks (either supply only or Supply and install) and another for Metaline as Splashbacks ( cut to size and supply only, or Cut, Supply and Install), you should find there is very little difference in cost between the two products. Hi Nathan, I worry by introducing another colour, it might wreck the overall aesthetics to your kitchen. My initial thought was a white subway tile with dark grey grout so it’s drawing the grey/darker tones from your floor tiles & wall colour - while still lightening things up with the white tiles. You can always use colour with accessories to bring some spunk into your space :)

Do you have any other colours in your colour scheme in the rest of your house that you might like to incorporate? I think your current colour scheme in the kitchen lends itself to quite a few different options .... black & white encaustic tiles, smoky glass mirror splashback, a coloured sheet of acrylic or check out the range of tiles from Southern Cross Ceramics.... they make it hard to choose! So many beautiful options, colours & patterns .... they have a visualizer too so you can see how it all looks :)
