Integrated fridge: Door-on-door or integration kit or don't bother??

For our new house, it's been recommended that we use an integrated fridge because the kitchen is 'on show' and also the fridge is next to the pantry and door to the laundry (i.e. a lot of doors in a row). BUT properly integrated family-sized fridges are so expensive! Leibherr is around $10,000 and Fisher & Pykel do one for around $5,000, but a regular fridge is only $1500 (not sure how much the kit is, but it doesn't look expensive). Also the integrated kit version looks difficult to clean (lots of gaps that are hard to get to). So any advice appreciated please!
