Art studio/ music room/library....anything creative...sewing, reading...writing...It is a beautiful serene space where one could spend many a quiet and memorable time. I can just see my cat making a beeline for what he would perceive is open space only to find himself concertinered up against the glass! If I owned this room I would have to have a frosted border about 30cm high all along the bottom of the glass, Whover owns this place is pretty fortunate and I hope they count their blessings.

Yes the options here are quite limited. I have heard the suggestion of getting clear switch covers & painting them on the inside to match/coordinate with wall colour, but they are still plain covers at the end of the day.

I hired a storage space (c 2,5 cubic m) when we were putting our house on the market. I needed to make the house look better, and I also needed to start the packing process. Because it was 20 km away, I thought long and hard about everything that went into that space, as compared to what I could donate, sell or trash. Amazing how much stuff is around, but not important at all. Let's just say that I got rid of more than I stored. And since we moved into our new house, I've eliminated another few car boot loads. My motto: if it isn't important enough to be in your house, in use or on display, it sure isn't important enough to spend money storing it.

Definitely creating zones as mentioned above. (IKEA have timber tiles too see image) Pebbles could work to edge the tiles to finish off the space if cutting not desired. Another thing to consider is larger heavy furniture pieces to ensure no movement in high winds. Greenery would look good grouped into larger pots/planters (even if just placed inside in their smaller pots easy to take with you or replace) to give a lush garden feeling. Native grasses and drought friendly plants would work for this area.
