Hi thank you I did not think of curtains which I think will do well at the entrance I think i could perhaps put a screener 2 in line with the entrance and have the bed facing looking out the windows. Thanks

Oh C'mon V Richards...every epoch has its treasures. B4 you make a mad run for it stop a while and consider the period and the reasons for the style...it can be extremely enlightening....unless its not the period you want to escape from but from some of the opinions. I spent many years of my youth outside of Australia living surrounded by old ruins in Europe. I forgot what it was like here. When finally I returned to Australia and found myself living in some of the 60s and 70s places..I found much to admire and wonder about. I may not have fallen in love with much of it but there was a certain mistique and a feel that I can still conjure when talking about certain places. Not saying that it was all romantic and pleasant but it conveyed something of the era and the kind of Aussie from those days.

Nice chairs. Have you browsed the Temple and Webster site. Lots of dining chairs. I'm a magazine tragic but I don't recall these chairs having a distinctive name. They look slightly like Eames copies but not exactly.

I agree with pottsy99's approach. I'd paint the concrete portions of the wall. Depends what the colour scheme of your garden is - charcoal might suit. Personally, I love off-white but it might not go. Whatever colour you go with, I'd also paint the terracotta pots to have more cohesion. At that point, you might consider leaving the stones alone (perhaps a tidy up if you're feeling energetic.) You could also go for weeping plants. Dichondra silver falls are my favourites. They are also relatively easy to propagate and grow. However, mine always die during the Perth summer heat. Heartleaf iceplant are also easy to grow, propagate and hardy but does attract snails.
