Comments (5)This looks great. Our bathroom had the same layout, but we managed to fit a much longer bath and a toilet in by moving the vanity from under the window to the left hand wall, putting the longer bath under the window, putting a toilet where the bath was previously and leaving the shower in the same position. We also changed the door to a cavity sliding door to take up less space in the room. We had a similarly awful 80s renovation in ours too, and used the same sort of wall tile...See MoreWhich trends should I avoid when redesigning our family bathroom
Comments (8)For vanity top, chose either a laminate, or engineered stone such as quartz eg: caesarstone, Essastone or silestone. You can get some wonderful laminate colours now, at very budget conscious prices. Look at Laminex and Polytec brands. Acrylic bench tops, in my opinion are dated. Have you looked at the semi inset basins. Basins really come back to personal preference for shape, height. If you have a basin on top of bench top, then install taps in the wall. If you choose inset or semi inset basin then taps installed in basin. Shower must be no smaller than 900 x 900mm. Freestanding bath would be a waste of space in your bathroom. I have attached a photo of a semi inset basin, (caroma) on a laminate bench top (Polytec)...See MoreBathrooms designed as wet areas - good idea or bad?
Comments (4)Hi, would you consider a built in bath for ease of cleaning? They don't have to be ugly if designed well. The wet rooms are great, a beautiful alternative to shower over bath.
