Before and After - Reno preparation of a property for sale.
Comments (6)Outstanding!!! Wish I had the money to do such a makeover on my mother's home before sale but it will get a paint and that's about it. I will however, put a heap of work in on the garden to give the house that wow if I can, when prospective buyers approach....See MoreBefore/after kitchen reno
Comments (3)Thanks! They were pretty good - it was fairly painless but we had great installers (independent but allocated by Ikea to us) and I think that would make the difference. We were bullied into use a sparky/plumber company who were expensive (not massively but just an annoying amount) and less careful than we would have liked. We won't fall for that again. Next time we will use our own regardless of the supposed 'hassle' this causes. One thing though is that we originally decided to use Ikea for the ability to replace elements should they break. But we discover now that they change their 'kitchen systems' every few years and ours is now obsolete. A bit annoying. It is a great kitchen though and we will probably use them again for cabinets and go a bit more individual for the bench top....See MoreBefore and after: A kitchen reno
Comments (5)The kitchen looks updated. But the concept of a dining table attached to an island, in my opinion, really limits movement in the room. You loose room for extra people to sit around a table, without entering the kitchen. Also the drinks fridge should be, in my opinion, on the living area side of island, so it is easily accessible without entering kitchen work space....See MoreExcited to share before and after photos of a reno
Comments (15)I like the maroon a lot better than the grey , and just a general comment -- the rest of the picture doesn't inspire me . There is light wood , dark wood , it looks like maybe a kitchen but no dining table I can see , a lounge area , and it looks like an office . Nothing wrong with that , well apart from what looks like a dark bluey black kickboard around the 'kitchen' unit , several bookcases in different heights , widths , sizes , and tones , and even the furniture seems different periods . Even the stainless rail and wires don't really fit in with anything else . Basically , nothing wrong with anything on it's own , but together it doesn't gel IMO -- decide on a theme , sell anything outside that brief , and buy stuff that does suit ....See Morewuff
